Senior Designer (Based at Hanwella) The Bodywear Value Stream of MAS Holdings delivers end-to-end design, innovation and manufacturing solutions across lingerie, swimwear and next-to-skin categories. The value stream portfolio includes Victoria’s Secret, Calvin Klein, Marks & Spencer, Triumph, Speedo and Aerie. Positioned as a global centre of excellence, the Bodywear Value Stream combines advanced product innovation, technology-led solutions and operational scale to meet evolving consumer expectations across intimate and swim categories. We are looking for an active team player to assist Head of design in research of new fashion trends in relation to swimwear and then practically applies those designs in an innovative form by working with patternmakers, sample room and customers, whilst fulfilling customer expectation creatively as per given timelines. Key Responsibilities: * Assist the Head of design in research of prints, shapes, and predictions for upcoming seasons on commercial level innovatively. * Liaise with customers after marketing trips and follow up on customer interests. * Collate information from sourcing/research trips into trend book. * Constantly research all customers’ behaviors and keep up to date with their vision, company strategy and position in the global market. * Prepare mood boards using current and correct research material that will be showcased to the customer to assist in their design process. * Travel for tradeshows and store sourcing when requires by the business for new swimwear trends, colors, customers’ awareness and competitor analysis. * Competently follow-through from the design stage to sample range completion on forecasted trends. * Visit and attend local Trim/Embellishments suppliers, subcontractors and understand their capabilities, history in the market, profile whilst submitting technical data and other specifications. * Liaise with internal departments such as cutting, sample room in order to obtain a productive output to make the final sample. * Interact with Account Heads and PDC on specific customer requests and follow through to production. * Develop detail formats and layout pages for customer submissions, design to sample information and understand the importance of saving all documentation in a chronological and systematic manner. * Actively liaise with design and sample room by providing/communicating necessary technical information to achieve customer requests. * Clearly identify customer requirements on all areas of styling, specific designs and initiate communication with patternmakers and sample room from CADs through to production. Knowledge and Skills: * A Degree in fashion design or any equivalent professional qualifications. * 2-3 years working experience in the same field. * Sound knowledge on design related soft wear such as illustrator, Photoshop. * Knowledge on product development.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head of Design in researching fashion trends for swimwear and translating them into innovative designs. Coordinate with patternmakers, sample rooms, and customers to ensure creative expectations are met within given timelines.
