We are currently looking for talented individuals to join us for below role Senior Designer, OT We are currently based at KL Eco City, Malaysia. Role Purpose We are seeking a Senior Designer with strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio to develop high-quality 2D engineering drawings for industrial Operational Technology (OT) systems. The role also includes Navisworks-based 3D model review, clash/consistency checks. He or She will work closely with OT Engineers to produce accurate, standards-compliant deliverables. Key Accountabilities 2D Drawing Production (AutoCAD & Microsoft Visio) Create and maintain OT engineering 2D drawings such as Control Room Layout, Cable Block Diagram, System Topology Drawing etc. Develop and manage drawing templates, title blocks, layers, symbols and blocks/stencils. Ensure scale accuracy, dimensioning, legends across drawings. Enforce naming conventions (Panel IDs, Cable Tags, I/O signals) and documentation consistency. 3D Model Review (Navisworks) Check 3D models for run clash detection, consistency checks etc. between 2D drawings and 3D models. Coordinate with other disciplines (e.g., Electrical & Instrumentation Construction team) to ensure 3D model updates reflect the latest design changes. Quality Check and Assurance Verify there are no discrepancies across drawings (e.g., Cable Block Diagram vs Control System Architecture) Maintaining Master Drawing Register and Deliverables To ascertain that all inputs are delivered to vendors and engineering subcontractors in accordance with the MDR avoiding delay and rework. Maintain revision control, drawing registers, and clean file structure. HSSEQ policies Complies with MODEC HSSEQ Code of Conduct as described in the HSSEQ Policies and the HSEQ Procedures to protect people and the environment at all times. Has a duty of care to ensure that all personnel work in a manner that is not harmful to their own health and safety and the health and safety of others. Compliance Complies with MODEC Groups Code of Business Conduct & Ethics and Policies to ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behavior. Qualifications Diploma in Offshore technology or equivalent. Qualification from Technical Institute Min 5 years in 2D drawing design environment and demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio and Navisworks. Competencies Technical Skills: Knowledge of standard drafting techniques and design procedures. Basic Microsoft Office Intermediate AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio Basic Autodesk Navisworks Freedom Basic Adobe PDF Soft Skills OT engineering literacy: able to interpret P&IDs, Electrical Single Line Diagram and Control System architecture etc. for accurate document development and verification (Preferable).
