About the Position
We are searching for a Civil Designer with a focus on grading and developing surface models for a variety of projects, or a Pipeline Designer with a focus on transmission pipeline designs to join our growing Professional Design Services team in Peachtree Corners or Cobb County, GA (or Remote). The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of related design engineering experience and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this position, the successful candidate will perform civil site development design for clients across the United States. Projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to design projects. We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter and can move quickly and efficiently through a variety of design stages ranging from concept plans to construction documentation.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Computer-Aided Drafting is preferred; Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education 10+ years of related experience in civil site design, with ability to lead civil designs independently
  • Proficient in design with relevant software:
  • Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D with working knowledge of grading to build surface models & process existing condition/ topographics surveys for team use
  • Or Bluesky Skyline to generate transmission (gas or elec) alignment sheets
  • Working knowledge of ESRI’s ArcMap/ArcGIS to create preliminary base files preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Civil 3D’s interaction with Revit preferred when working with multi-discipline projects
  • Basic knowledge of Civil 3D’s interaction with Plant 3D and/or CADWorx for process and piping model incorporation
  • Experience with federal projects preferred, including knowledge of UFCs, ProjNet, etc.
  • Experience with leading/mentoring junior level staff preferred
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work
  • Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
