SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The following skills and experience are essential:

• At least 5 years of experience developing .NET Core applications, with strong experience using .NET 8
• Experience developing serverless applications using the AWS technology stack
• Full stack exposure: SQL Server, C#, ASP.NET Core based applications and web services, HTML, JS, CSS, React
• Experience with consuming 3rd party APIs such as REST services
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, principles behind scalable applications as well as approaches such as service-oriented architecture.

The following are highly desirable:

• Experience developing ASP.NET Web Forms applications using .NET Framework 4.8
• Experience developing ASP.NET Core web applications using Blazor
• Experience developing applications using the Azure technology stack

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Business Applications Development Team is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of internal systems that support the day-to-day operations of the business, public facing sites such as our Are Media corporate and Are Media Retail websites, as well as integrations with vendor-supplied systems. The team plays a crucial role by providing stakeholders with the expertise to help them make informed decisions.
We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to help build and maintain applications and services that support the functions of Are Media. Reporting to the IT Development Manager, you will provide input on the design of systems, applications and processes as well as providing guidance and support to more junior members of the team.

DUTIES

As a Senior Developer, you will:

• Be responsible for the development and technical quality of our applications and integrations.
• Ensure technology solutions meet business requirements within agreed time and budget constraints.
• Contribute to team estimation of development work, assess requirements for completeness and clarify where required.
• Provide 3rd level support for production systems.
• Support the Agile delivery processes currently in use.
