Digital Channels builds and maintains BNZ’s Internet Banking Customer Channels. We are modernising our tech stack and are working to modularise our front-end banking applications and move them to our target state of micro front ends. The new tīma is a mix of experienced Senior Developers and Testers as well as some more Junior members. It’s an exciting chance to learn from the best and bring your own experience to mentor our up-and-comers! What are the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Develop solutions to fulfil agreed requirements Participate in agile ceremonies including stand up, retrospective, planning and demos. Contribute to a shared focus on user experience. Contribute to all activities including development, testing and release within the squad. Contribute to all levels of documentation. Monitor and resolve production incidents (through diagnosis, testing and applying fix) for assigned application/s. What capabilities will you need in order to be successful in this tūranga? 5+ Years practical experience in development and maintenance of technology applications. Experienced front-end developer, with practical experience delivering enterprise applications. Experience in unit testing frameworks such as Jest and Cyprus or Playwright. Experience building and deploying code via Ci/CD pipeline such as Jenkins. Proven ability to communicate ideas and designs clearly and concisely. Familiarity with Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Ability to mentor / coach / teach more junior developers.
