LOCATION: EDINBURGH

Responsibilities

A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE

You will contribute within your development team and embrace continuous improvement across the wider team.

Some key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for our suite of .NET APIs, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues reported by internal teams and external clients.
  • Collaborate with other developers, QA, and DevOps to identify root causes and implement fixes.
  • Write and maintain support documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Monitor API usage and performance metrics to proactively identify potential issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and tooling.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and best practices.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE ROLE?

You will demonstrate previous experience as a Developer and have a clear passion for the role.

Key skills required for the role include:

  • Good exposure to .net development using RESTful Web Services/Microservices and experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (eg. Postman, Swagger)
  • Experience of Agile development in a DevOps environment, embracing the adoption of automation and CI/CD practices.
  • Knowledge and experience of applying engineering principles for design, build, test and deployment.
  • Collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
  • Has a strong work ethic and is able to deal with sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Curious and continuous learner – investigates, interprets and grasps new concepts.
