We are looking for a Senior Developer - GIS to help grow our business and contribute to our future.
The Senior Developer – GIS will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software applications using geospatial data and technologies, in support of a large-scale transformation program. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of GIS technologies, development, and spatial data analysis.

Reporting through the Registry Transformation team, other highlights include:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of GIS applications.
• Develop custom GIS solutions and tools to meet project requirements.
• Integrate and manage geospatial data from various sources and formats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of GIS applications.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in GIS technology and industry best practices.

What you’ll need:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Geospatial Science or related technical Diploma, with five (5) or more years software development / engineering related experience.
• Proven experience in developing GIS applications.
• Strong Knowledge in one or more of the following core languages: .NET languages such as C# or ASP.NET Core, Angular, JAVA, VB6.
• Strong Knowledge of writing and analyzing database queries in MS SQL and MySQL.
• Strong Knowledge of code repositories such as GIT, TFS, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong Knowledge of front-end web languages such as CSS and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of user interfaces and user experience design.
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies, specific Scrum and Kanban. Experience leading the software development cycle from start to finish an asset.
• Familiar with ITIL processes and frameworks.
• Ability to mentor new and intermediate team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
