Description

At MEGABAD, you'll develop software for our entire stack. This ranges from the ERP core and internal tools to shop and marketplace interfaces. We're a small development team spread across multiple locations, with short communication channels, a high degree of autonomy, and real influence on what goes live.

We are looking for a Senior Developer (PHP) - E-Commerce (m/f/d) to join this team, who will independently handle topics from requirements clarification to deployment.

Your mission

  • You will further develop the ERP/e-commerce core: data model, business logic, batch/background processes.
  • You build and operate internal web applications (Laravel), e.g., sales channel & pricing manager, purchasing UI, service portal.
  • You design and implement interfaces: REST APIs, EDI, product and marketplace feeds, PIM/DAM integration, payment providers.
  • You will integrate and further develop our shop systems (Shopware 6 for international B2C and B2B): Order intake, status backchannel, prices, stock levels, delivery times.
  • You will be working on the event-based middleware in Azure (Service Bus, API Management).
  • You ensure quality and stable operation: Code reviews, deployments, change management (CAB), error analysis and 2nd/3rd level support during ongoing operations.

Responsibilities
  • 5+ years of professional software development, several of them in the e-commerce, shop or ERP environment
  • PHP (very secure, ideally Laravel), MySQL/MariaDB (schema design, indexes, query optimization, migrations), REST/JSON APIs , Git
  • Azure : Service Bus, API Management, Entra ID / OAuth2
  • Understanding of trading processes (order, partial delivery, cancellation, return, credit note, invoice, payment), item master data, prices, inventory levels, and ERP basics
  • Clean data model and API design, root cause analysis in existing systems, structured work with tickets, change management and documentation
  • Basic knowledge of AI-supported development
  • A desire to modernize an existing system step by step, and acceptance of a fixed support component in day-to-day operations.
  • Personal responsibility and reliability: structured, self-organized work style as well as a sense of responsibility for productive systems and adherence to deadlines.
  • You are fluent in German (fluent for negotiations) and fluent in English.
Nice-to-have
  • Experience with Shopware 6 (plugin/API development) or Shopify
  • Docker, CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket), Solr, Redis, test automation
  • EDI processes in wholesale, experience with replacement and migration projects
