About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with deep experience in the Retirement / Financial domain to lead the modernization of legacy applications. The ideal candidate is an expert in Java (preferably Java 18 - 21) and React, with a proven track record in legacy system migration, cloud integration, and CI/CD automation. You will play a key role in re-architecting mission-critical systems to modern standards using AWS and industry-best practices. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java 21, React, and JavaScript. Modernize legacy systems and migrate them to updated frameworks and architectures. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, code comments, clear and efficient code. Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to define and implement technical solutions within the Retirement/Benefits domain. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage deployments on AWS. Utilize GitHub Copilot to enhance development productivity and maintain code quality. Perform code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and ensure adherence to best practices. Analyze and optimize application performance and scalability. Maintain and query relational databases, primarily Oracle DB. Track and manage project work using JIRA and follow Agile/Scrum methodologies. Required Qualifications: 4+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in Java (including Java 21) and React. Solid understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+). Proven experience in legacy system modernization, including code refactoring, re-platforming, and technology stack upgrades. Exposure to microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DB & Postgres DB, including performance tuning and complex SQL queries. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, and source control using GitHub. Cloud experience, preferably AWS, with knowledge of services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation. Familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA. Nice to Have: Prior experience in the Retirement, Pension, or Financial Services domain. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
