We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Development and Alumni Affairs Office: To further advance the University’s strategic growth and strengthen its relationships with alumni and supporters, the University is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead fundraising and alumni engagement initiatives within the Development and Alumni Affairs Office. Major Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Affairs, the appointee will be responsible for: Developing and implementing strategies to secure philanthropic support from individuals, alumni, corporations, and foundations, including close collaboration with partners and donors in the Mainland; Identifying, cultivating, and soliciting potential donors, and overseeing comprehensive donor stewardship; Enhancing alumni relations and engagement through strategic programmes, events, and communications; Strengthening the University’s fundraising capability in support of institutional advancement and new campus development; Expanding the alumni network by supporting the HKMU Alumni Association and other alumni groups; and Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Irregular working hours and occasional travel outside Hong Kong will be required, subject to operational needs. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience, and competence: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience in development, alumni relations, or related fields; Proven experience in fundraising and soliciting major gifts, preferably in the higher education or the non-profit sector; Strong professional networks and sound knowledge of Hong Kong’s tertiary education sector; Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills; A positive, innovative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset; and Outstanding command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record in educational fundraising and alumni engagement. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
