The Bradfield Development Authority (BDA) is building a stronger future for Western Sydney by delivering Bradfield City Centre and attracting investment to the Western Sydney Aerotropolis. We work with all levels of government, industry, and the community to realise the once-in-a-generation opportunities the new 24/7 Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport and the surrounding Western Sydney Aerotropolis precinct.
The Authority is leading the development of one of the country’s most ambitious and exciting projects – Bradfield City Centre, located in the heart of the Aerotropolis. We also focus on investment attraction and economic opportunities for the benefit of the Aerotropolis and the wider region. The Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF) supports local manufacturers and new industries of the future.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of Bradfield City Centre—touching every part of the property lifecycle from town planning and site acquisition to development, asset management and finance. You’ll help define the DNA of a new city, guiding the rollout of mixed-use precincts, infrastructure and public realm assets in a market that’s anything but ordinary. It’s a chance to influence place-making at scale and work alongside top-tier developers to bring bold ideas to life
You’ll lead capital transactions and development partnerships, advise on commercial strategy, and drive financial modelling and feasibility analysis. With a collaborative mindset and sharp commercial instincts, you’ll navigate complex stakeholder environments and deliver outcomes that balance vision, viability and value

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Strong experience and successful track record in real estate/property transactions in government and/or private sector
  • Demonstrated commercial and financial understanding with experience in feasibility modelling
  • Qualification as a valuer, town planner, property economic would be a benefit though not essential
  • Strong communication skills including negotiation, presentation, dispute resolution and influencing skills.
  • Experience in the preparation of accurate and timely reports for distribution to Senior Executives.
  • Proficiency in the use of development feasibility software Argus Estate Master DF or similar.
  • Excellent understanding of design, development and delivery process of residential and commercial projects
  • Significant experience in real estate development and capital transactions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial management practices, including budget and reporting
