[What the role is] You will be part of the Quality & Excellence Group – Standards (Manufacturing) Division, which leverages the national Standards and Conformance (S&C) infrastructure to build trust in Singapore’s products and services. In this role, you will be a part of the ISO, Chemical & Manufacturing department to support the implementation of the Singapore Standards Council 2030 Strategic Plan (SSC 2030). [What you will be working on] This portfolio will play a key part in strengthening Singapore’s influence in international and regional standards platforms while advancing future‑ready standards and industry adoption in the chemical and manufacturing sectors. A. International Strengthen SG’s leadership and participation at international and regional platforms such as ISO and ASEAN. Drive projects and partnerships to achieve win-win outcomes, with a view to support trade and facilitate market access for Singapore enterprises. B. National Support the planning and execution of standards development workplans for the chemical and manufacturing sectors to drive cluster and enterprise development, and meet regulatory needs. Identify emerging technologies, market/industry needs and regulatory trends to develop future‑ready standards. Build strong partnerships with government agencies, industry bodies and technical experts. Manage standards development organisations (SDOs) to ensure quality governance, timely delivery of standards and effective participation at international platforms. Drive awareness and industry adoption through outreach, capability‑building and engagement initiatives. [What we are looking for] What You'll Be Using & Applying Keen interest in international engagement, cluster and enterprise development work through standardisation. Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to think critically, work independently, and cultivate strong relationships with partners. Acumen to anticipate industry needs and translate them into actionable standards initiatives. Strong project management and event organisation skills.
