Reporting to the Development Research Manager (DRM), the Senior Development Research Officer plays a vital role in the University’s fundraising operation.
This is an appointment to a Senior Development Researcher role, as outlined in the job description. The focus of this position will be on prospect development and pipeline management, and due diligence, with a smaller but nonetheless important - part of the successful candidate’s time focused on proactive prospect identification work.
You will be the accountable prospect researcher for the development and delivery of our moves management programme, ensuring our fundraisers’ prospect pools are performing to their peak, undertaking projects to improve our performance and deliver effective fundraising for our campaign, day to day management of our due diligence function and ensuring that the prospect research team’s efforts are focussed in the right areas.
You will have a passion for philanthropy and the desire to gain a deep understanding of our donor and prospect pools, as well as the many projects undertaken at the University. You will provide accurate and appropriate information relating to potential and current donors to the University, high net worth individuals, corporations and charitable foundations worldwide.
Working with colleagues, you will play a direct role in the University’s programme of identification and analysis of potential donors, deploying and refining systems to support the documentation and management of such potential donors and suggesting tailored strategies to reach and engage such donors.
You will have responsibility for developing the core strategy of the Research Team along with the DRM. You will also manage one member of development research staff and work closely with major gift fundraisers to help raise vital funds towards our appeals.
