POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect with deep expertise in AWS and Amazon Connect to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud-based solutions. This role will lead the development of modern digital products, optimize system performance, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards—especially in contact center environments. Prior experience in the public sector is highly desirable.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
  • Software development and delivery across multiple technical roles.
  • AWS cloud development, including Lambda, AWS Connect, API Gateway, Amazon Lex, AWS CLI, Kinesis, S3, KMS, Glue, DynamoDB, RDS, Amplify, and related services.
  • Proven track record in Amazon Connect solution design and deployment.
  • Contact center implementation projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Scripting expertise in Python, Bash, PHP, Java, JavaScript, Node.js.
  • API integration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux environments (CentOS, Ubuntu, CoreOS) supporting LAMP, MEAN, Drupal, Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Git, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Maven) and containerization (Docker).
  • Strong knowledge of IVR systems and workflow design.

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous public sector or Ontario Public Service (OPS) experience.
  • Familiarity with Public Sector Enterprise Architecture, Unified I&IT Project Methodology, and standard gating processes.

Responsibilities
  • Cloud Environment Design & Management
  • Architect, build, and support secure AWS cloud environments for enterprise digital products.
  • Create, manage, and maintain AWS-based production systems ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and operational processes.
  • Contact Center Solutions
  • Design, develop, and implement Amazon Connect cloud-based contact center solutions, including Call & Queue Flows, Agent Experience, Call Recording, Metrics, and CTR Data analysis.
  • Integrate IVR and workflow automation solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Develop and enforce security safeguards, including identity, network, and encryption controls.
  • Apply AWS security best practices, IAM roles, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies (CloudFormation).
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization
  • Configure monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail) and establish logging/metrics systems.
  • Proactively identify system bottlenecks and recommend architecture/process improvements.
  • Collaboration & Leadership
  • Engage with stakeholders to define requirements, provide technical consultation, and document system designs.
  • Mentor technical teams and foster knowledge sharing across the organization.
