This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud) in India. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting modern cloud-based data platforms, including data warehouses, lakes, and streaming architectures. You will work closely with engineering and consulting teams to ensure smooth operational delivery, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement automation across multi-cloud environments. Accountabilities Provide hands-on operational support and manage production workloads on cloud-native data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Redshift). Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and analytics solutions. Respond to incidents and maintain high service availability across multiple customer accounts. Implement automation, monitoring, and performance tuning for production data jobs and pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions. Mentor and guide team members on technology best practices, operational processes, and skill development. Participate in 24/7 rotational support, ensuring robust incident management and SLA adherence. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud operations, or data platform engineering roles. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Snowflake, including operational support and optimization. Strong SQL skills and experience writing, debugging, and optimizing queries. Experience in RDBMS like Oracle or MSSQL, and familiarity with Unix/Linux environments. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automation tasks. Knowledge of workflow orchestration and data integration technologies like Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Matillion, Fivetran, or NiFi. Experience in SLA-driven, 24/7 production support environments. Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Preferred: Certifications or hands-on experience in Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and CI/CD frameworks (Bitbucket, GitHub, Flyway, Liquibase).
