QUALIFICATIONS- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• At least 5 years of working experience in a DevOps capacity
• Bachelor’ degree in Computer Science or a relevant field. Equivalent working experience is acceptable.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools (TeamCity, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
• Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and security principles
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Hands-on Cloud experience, Azure preferred
• Expertise in Windows Server and Linux
• Experience with compliance and security standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001)

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Embodies Metrc’s Leadership Principles
• Define and develop DevOps infrastructure projects
• Design and implement secure automation solutions for each of the different environments relative to our SDLC (development, staging/UAT, production)
• Experience with cloud security, such as managing users, roles, and privileges through IAM and integrating vulnerability assessment tools with CI/CD pipeline
• Proficient in scripting/programming languages for automation – Python / Bash / PowerShell
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM
• Excellent troubleshooter
• Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration
• Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response processes
• May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
