Senior DevOps Consultant (Contractor) – Fintech
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Consultant to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced fintech environment, where adaptability, expertise, and a proactive mindset are key to success. This is a contractor role with an initial duration of 8 months, extendable up to 24 months based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of cloud-based solutions using PCF and AWS in a regulated fintech setting.
  • Design, build, and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Forge, and XLR.
  • Configure, manage, and optimize messaging platforms such as Kafka and NATS for seamless data flow.
  • Monitor, analyze, and enhance system performance with Dynatrace and Splunk, ensuring reliability and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance systems.
  • Develop and optimize database queries for Postgres, Cassandra, and Oracle, ensuring data accuracy and availability.
  • Provide strategic insights and technical leadership to ensure compliance with fintech standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, regulations, and best practices in fintech.
  • Participate in on-call rotations (approx. 1 in 4 weeks), providing Production Application Support and handling ITSM-related activities as required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, system operations, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Deep expertise in PCF and AWS with proven fintech project experience.
  • Strong proficiency in CI/CD automation tools (Jenkins, Forge, XLR).
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, NATS, and other messaging systems.
  • Advanced skills in monitoring and performance tuning (Dynatrace, Splunk).
  • Proven ability to write and optimize queries for Postgres, Cassandra, and Oracle databases.
  • Strong background in infrastructure and system operations, forming the foundation for adaptability and contribution in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in fintech projects with knowledge of compliance, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven cross-team collaboration.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in an extremely busy environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior consulting experience or work in large-scale enterprise fintech environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes and best practices in incident, problem, and change management.
  • Strong understanding of financial data security and regulatory compliance.
