Senior DevOps Engineer Ongoing opportunity Clerk Grade 9/10 - $129,464 to $142,665 base salary per annum + superannuation and annual leave loading Bathurst location - Flexible working may be available in line with the DCS Flexible Working Policy About Spatial Services Spatial Services, a division of the Department of Customer Service is the key provider of spatial land information services in New South Wales. Spatial Services' integrated framework connects the people of NSW to a comprehensive package of land and property services including property information, surveying and mapping. Spatial Services' provides land information services to individuals, businesses, government agencies and non-profit organisations throughout NSW, Australia and internationally. About the Role As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for establishing and operating the unit’s platforms and applications, ensuring all services are working and running optimally, including platform and application engineering, implementing service offerings, platform and application maintenance/ administration and issue resolution to embed best practice administration and ensure products are fit for purpose. The ideal candidate will have: Strong ability to implement and deliver efficient/repeatable platform engineering and application maintenance tasks The ability to actively contribute to and guide innovation in DevOps practices and incorporate agile delivery approaches and technologies The ability to assist in changes to software engineering and operations with the adoption of new technologies Experience providing technical consulting and subject matter expertise to projects, pre-project to ensure risks, interdependencies and exceptions are identified, mitigated or escalated The ability to deliver high level options, conceptual approaches, technical recommendations and estimates to support the transition of system designs into operation. Responsibilities
