About the Role We're seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our DevOps function and scale infrastructure supporting 1 million+ active users. You'll own the performance, reliability, and evolution of our AWS-based infrastructure while building and mentoring a high-performing DevOps team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll split time between architecture decisions, implementation work, and team development. Our Technology Stack AWS Services: Lambda for serverless compute ECS with Fargate for containerized workloads RDS for managed databases Auto Scaling for dynamic capacity management SQS, SNS, and EventBridge for event-driven architecture Infrastructure & Deployment: Terraform for Infrastructure as Code GitHub Actions for CI/CD CloudWatch for monitoring and observability (potential migration to Datadog) Kubernetes/EKS (planned migration) What We're Looking For Required: 5+ years of DevOps/Infrastructure engineering experience Proven experience managing infrastructure for applications with millions active users Expert-level knowledge of AWS services, particularly Lambda, ECS/Fargate, RDS, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions Deep understanding of performance monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting at scale Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies Kubernetes knowledge and experience (EKS experience is a plus) Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks Experience with on-call responsibilities and incident management Nice to Have: Scripting experience with Python, Node.js, or similar languages Experience with Kafka and or RabbitMq Experience with Datadog or other advanced observability platforms Background in cost optimization strategies for high-traffic applications Experience with blue/green or canary deployment strategies Knowledge of GitOps practices

Responsibilities

Lead the DevOps function and scale infrastructure supporting over 1 million active users. Own the performance, reliability, and evolution of AWS-based infrastructure while mentoring a high-performing DevOps team.
