This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 4 years Location: Gurgaon, India JobType: full-time We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team and help build, scale, and maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across the DevOps lifecycle with a strong emphasis on Python scripting for automation, tooling, and infrastructure management. In this role, you will work closely with software engineers, QA, and platform teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, improve system reliability, and enable faster, safer deployments. You will play a key role in automating infrastructure, optimizing cloud environments, and driving DevOps best practices across the organization. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure. Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, monitoring, and operational tasks. Build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software releases. Collaborate with development teams to improve build, release, and deployment processes. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent. Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability; proactively identify and resolve issues. Improve observability by implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions. Ensure security best practices across infrastructure, pipelines, and deployments. Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response and root cause analysis. Mentor junior DevOps engineers and contribute to technical documentation and SOPs. Required Skills & Qualifications 4–7 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation, tooling, and system integration. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar. Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools. Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills. Experience working with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.). Good understanding of networking, security, and scalability concepts. Nice to Have Experience building internal DevOps tools using Python. Exposure to SRE practices and reliability engineering. Knowledge of cost optimization and performance tuning in cloud environments. Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven or startup environments.
