This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 2500000 - Rs 4000000 (ie INR 25-40 LPA) Min Experience: 5 years Location: Bengaluru JobType: full-time We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and deployment ecosystems for a scalable, cloud-based platform. This role is central to ensuring high system reliability, security, and performance while enabling rapid and efficient product delivery. You will take ownership of Kubernetes operations, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation, working closely with engineering and product teams to build robust, production-grade systems. The position offers the opportunity to shape DevOps strategy, enhance observability, and drive continuous improvement in a high-impact, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure, with a focus on modern cloud platforms. Lead end-to-end Kubernetes operations, including provisioning, scaling, upgrades, networking, storage, and troubleshooting. Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless and reliable code deployment. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform to standardize and automate infrastructure provisioning. Develop and manage deployment frameworks such as Helm charts and GitOps workflows for consistent and secure releases. Establish and enhance observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance. Automate operational processes such as scaling, failover management, disaster recovery, and patching. Enforce best practices in DevOps, including security policies, access controls, and resource optimization. Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to improve system resilience. Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to improve deployment velocity and system reliability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cloud security, cost optimization, and operational efficiency. Maintain documentation, knowledge sharing, and standard operating procedures for DevOps practices. What Makes You a Great Fit 5–9 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles. Strong expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster management, scaling, and production troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and cloud-native architectures. Proficiency in containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration tools like Helm. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or similar. Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation and operational efficiency. Solid understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. Knowledge of cloud security practices, identity management, and compliance standards. Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across cross-functional teams.
