• Leadership & Management: Managing a team of 15-30 FTEs (internal and external), including recruitment, performance management, and budget oversight. This is a highly people-focused role, demanding strong servant leadership and team-building skills.
• DevOps Strategy & Execution: Execution of the IT strategy and roadmap for the tribe, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This includes optimizing delivery performance, improving software maintainability, and evangelizing DevOps practices.
• Technical Proficiency: While not a hands-on coding role, the successful candidate needs a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps principles, and various technical areas (front-end, back-end, infrastructure, etc.). They must be able to coach and mentor technical teams.
• Stakeholder Management: Acting as a central point of communication between business stakeholders, IT teams, and other departments. This requires excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Compliance & Operations: Ensuring adherence to internal policies (audit, risk) and external regulations (PCI), and meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
• Process Improvement: Continuously seeking ways to improve delivery efficiency, implementing and optimizing internal methodologies, and defining key performance indicators (KPIs).
