Are you a Dietitian looking to take the next step in your career? We have on offer a Dietitian Level 3 position available on a temporary part time basis working 14 hours per week (Thursday/Friday).
This position is located onsite at Nepean Cancer Care Centre (NCCC), Nepean Hospital, and provides high-level clinical nutrition services to clients of Nepean Hospital and NCCC (inpatients and outpatients) with cancer and supports all Dietitians providing services to patients with cancer across NBMLHD. As the Senior Dietitian you will be responsible for the provision of high quality, evidenced-based nutritional care using your high level clinical expertise and knowledge. Part of this role involves preparing and reviewing patient education resources and providing clinical supervision, education and support to junior Dietitians and other staff as required.

Responsibilities
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Australia.
  • Up-to-date knowledge, skills and competence in the nutritional management of patients with cancer.
  • Extensive experience in the nutritional management of complex oncology patients in the outpatient and the inpatient setting.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and teaching skills. Including well developed skills in clinical supervision and student teaching and training.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a specialised multidisciplinary team that provides services to oncology patients.
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision to dietitians, dietitian assistants and students.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and experience with initiating and leading quality improvement projects. With professional development and quality projects specific to oncology an advantage.
  • Current drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable). Willingness to use for work purposes and may include driving long distances across the LHD.
