Home Office Digital, Data and Technology Home Office Digital, Data and Technology designs, builds and develops services for the rest of the department and for government. Every year our systems support up to 3 million visa applications, checks on 100 million border crossings, up to 8 million passport applications and deliver 140 million police checks on people, vehicles and property.
Home Office Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) are building a Digital Adoption Service within our Enterprise Services, End User Compute and Collaboration Team.
The Senior Digital Adoption Manager plays a key role within our Digital Adoption Team to support the Home Office wide adoption of digital products (Microsoft 365) through campaigns, promotions, communication, education, training and support aimed at increasing digital adoption across the Home Office.
You will use your deep knowledge and experience together with your knowledge of the organisation to ensure the full realisation of digital dividends. You will be part of the team helping to bridge the “digital gap” between the executive vision and user experience, providing support to ensure the business objectives and product outcomes are aligned and measured for success.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Digital Adoption Manager you will work collaboratively with strategic partners and stakeholders to look for opportunities to exploit existing digital tools to help solve current and future business problems and increase the return on investment. You will provide expert advice to assist business areas to work through the implications and options available. As part of the adoption approach, you will engage with the organisation-wide Digital Champions network.
You will keep up to date with the latest developments in the digital workplace technologies and change methodologies, including any knowledge, best practice and innovations from the cross government digital adoption community of experts.
This is a challenging and fast paced role, positioned at the heart of a dynamic and changing area of DDaT. You will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic team on a number of high profile workstreams. This role will include line management of a Digital Adoption Manager.
These Business Change roles within DDaT are aligned to the Project Delivery Profession, for Project Delivery Professionals within Government.
Your main day to day responsibilities will be:
- Creating required Business Change (Digital Adoption) products, leading on engagement with key contacts, and ensuring products are fit for purpose for the organisation.
- Working with the team and Senior Managers to create and maintain communications plans, including Business Change (Digital Adoption) messaging. Providing content for Business Change (Digital Adoption) communications.
- Identifying and classifying stakeholders, ensuring their inclusion in stakeholder engagement plan, and acting as the point of contact for a large group, and senior stakeholders.
- Designing and delivering business process and operating model improvements using M365 which drive alignment and efficiency, utilising best practice and innovation.
- Providing project (Digital Adoption) colleagues with Change Management support and guidance.
- Assessing the effectiveness of Business Change (Digital Adoption) materials and communications, iterating when needed to ensure they meet the needs of the audience and stakeholders.
You will also be expected to carry out the following day to day activities:
- Undertaking appropriate training for the role, seeking to constantly improve performance through personal development.
- Managing the performance and supporting the development of the Digital Adoption Manager in line with Home Office performance management policy and standards.
- Line management responsibilities may be required.
