MANDATORY PROJECT WRITE-UPS (SUBMIT WITH APPLICATION)

Candidates must provide two detailed project or assignment examples that demonstrate their role as a Digital Architect. Each example must address the following:

  • Project Overview – Scope, objectives, and your responsibilities as Digital Architect.
  • Sector Context – Public sector, private sector, or other domain. (Public sector experience is preferred.)
  • Project Complexity and Scope – Systems/platforms integrated, users impacted, transformation scale, budget, team size, compliance/security considerations.
  • Delivery Approach – Architecture/design methodology, risk mitigation, QA, Agile/DevSecOps approaches, and how you enabled outcomes.
  • Skills and Technologies – Tools, frameworks, patterns, cloud platforms, or integration strategies applied.

Include metrics (e.g., number of users, scale of systems, performance improvements, cost savings) where possible.

QUALIFICATIONSMUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (equivalencies considered).
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience leading cross-functional Agile product teams, providing architectural direction, and mentoring.
  • 10+ years experience as a software architect delivering enterprise-scale solutions in complex environments.
  • 7+ years experience working with teams that apply UX, service design, or human-centered design approaches.
  • 9+ years proven ability to define and communicate solution architecture for large-scale systems.
  • 10+ years strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Data Eaver is seeking an accomplished Senior Digital Architect to support multiple high-profile projects. This is a full-time position with flexible work arrangements depending on project needs. Candidates should be prepared to work up to 1,960 hours per term, though hours may vary depending on project scope.
The Senior Digital Architect will provide architectural leadership, mentor teams, and design enterprise-grade solutions that meet complex organizational needs. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to shape strategy, deliver modern architectures, and drive digital transformation initiatives.
Important: Candidates must submit two (2) project examples with metrics as part of their application. Each project must demonstrate your expertise in the Digital Architect role and address the five evaluation questions listed below.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead cross-functional Agile product teams, providing architectural direction and mentoring developers and technical leads.
  • Define and communicate solution architecture for large-scale systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Oversee architecture design and delivery for enterprise-scale solutions using modern development stacks.
  • Partner with UX/service design teams to deliver user-centered solutions.
  • Drive modernization strategies including cloud migration, integrations, and legacy transformation.
  • Promote secure development practices and implement architectures that adhere to Zero Trust principles.
  • Collaborate across business and technical teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and future-ready.
  • Contribute to establishing architecture practice standards and reusable components.
