THE OPPORTUNITY: Senior Digital Designer REPORTS TO: Digital Design Director LOCATION: LA - Hybrid Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with an office in New York, NY, Birdy Grey supports remote work for eligible roles. We ask that all employees travel to either office once a quarter. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-Hybrid We’re looking for a Senior Digital Designer who’s both creative and strategic. This role focuses on designing high-impact emails and ads that drive engagement and bring the Birdy Grey brand to life online. You’ll work closely with our ad, marketing, and web teams - concepting, designing, and building thoughtful digital assets that are as effective as they are beautiful. You’ll report directly to the Digital Design Director and collaborate across teams to ensure every deliverable is visually compelling, on-brand, and optimized for performance. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES Concept and design a high volume of emails (20+ per month) and digital ads that support campaign goals and deliver strong engagement. Partner with the Digital Design Director to translate briefs and creative strategies into high-quality work. Design scalable email systems, including reusable templates and modules that streamline production and ensure consistency. Create modern, conversion-minded layouts that balance products and storytelling. Design web graphics and on-site assets as needed. Partner with the ad team to test, iterate, and refine creative based on performance data. Collaborate with marketing, copy, and web teams to deliver cohesive campaign storytelling. Maintain organized file structures and efficient workflows in Photoshop and Figma. Contribute to and evolve shared design systems that support scale and speed. Maintain exceptional attention to detail, color accuracy, and typography. Stay current on digital design trends, tools, and best practices in email and ad design. Design custom illustrations, icons, and patterns that bring campaigns to life. Bring fresh, forward-thinking ideas that continuously elevate the brand. THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES EDUCATION: College degree required EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of experience in digital design, ideally within e-commerce, fashion, or DTC. Proven experience designing emails and paid ads at a high volume and fast pace. Familiarity with Klaviyo or similar email platforms, and an understanding of modular design systems and automation. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Figma. Deep understanding of email design best practices, responsive design, and accessibility. Experience creating performance-driven ad creative for paid social and display. Strong grasp of layout, color, and typography, with excellent attention to detail. Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong communicator who thrives in collaboration and iteration. Able to prioritize effectively, multi-task, problem solve and work independently Demonstrate initiative and positive can-do attitude Must work confidently in teams and take direction from team managers Organize and maintain photo libraries within Dropbox Must be analytical, articulate, and organized Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proactive and quick learner with a positive attitude towards their work Passion for design, style and fashion. NICE TO HAVES Experience in DTC apparel, especially womenswear and/or menswear. Familiarity with motion design, animation, or video editing. Experience with project management tools like Asana. Startup or high-growth brand experience. Experience working with developers on site design and UX optimization. Experience with retouching or color correction.
