About the role The Curriculum Division develops and endorses syllabuses for all schools in NSW from Kindergarten to Year 12. This role is within the Curriculum Production Directorate which develops, revises, and maintains those syllabuses. At NESA we are presently focused on an exciting, transformational program of curriculum reform, and this role is a great opportunity to support/Lead the work of passionate educators. Curriculum production is important at NESA because it creates a standardised yet flexible foundation for teaching and learning, ensuring students gain essential knowledge and skills. The process ensures curriculum is high-quality, equitable, and accessible, supporting diverse student needs and preparing them for future learning and life. The Senior Digital Designer is accountable for the UX design and continued development of the frontend of the NSW Curriculum website to facilitate the roll out of the digital curriculum as part of NESA’s program of curriculum reform and syllabus development. The role identifies, reviews and documents user requirements and stories that align with the scope to improve external facing websites and align solutions with business requirements, organisational strategies and plans. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for: ' Leading and coordinating complex change initiatives, setting priorities, investigating options, and implementing changes to program scope to achieve business outcomes. Identify and document business processes, business and functional requirements to align user stories, and case scenarios, comparing the best processes including measuring and evaluating outcomes. Build and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders to define business needs Develop and execute test plans, including system, regression and user acceptance testing, ensuring functional queries are resolved and quality outcomes are achieved. To be successful, you will need: Proven experience balancing multiple high-volume priorities and deadlines while driving the delivery of change initiatives, implementation plans and business improvements. To have developed skills to operate in an agile environment that require critical thinking, rapid understanding of complex systems, and collaboration with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to enhance user experience and support improved teaching and learning outcomes. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
