About the role We’re seeking a Senior Digital Integration Engineer to build, maintain and support Transurban’s mission-critical suite of integration services that power our digital channels. Join our dynamic team in a hands-on engineering role focused on back-end development, Agile delivery, and DevOps practices. You’ll influence technical design, lead integration development, and collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing digital solutions. As our Senior Digital Integration Engineer, you’ll contribute to meaningful, challenging, and exciting work that shapes the future of digital infrastructure and customer experience. Day-to-day, you will: Design and build elegant, accessible applications aligned with Transurban’s digital strategy Develop and maintain secure, scalable APIs and integrations Deliver software using Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with product owners, designers, and vendors to meet business requirements Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality and security standards Mentor development teams and share technical expertise Diagnose and resolve performance issues in production environments Contribute to agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain professional standards across the Software Development Life Cycle Track and report on development progress and outcomes This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: 5+ years of experience in software development and API integration Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, and OpenAPI specifications Experience building serverless applications on AWS and/or GCP (Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate etc) Strong understanding of mobile app & web application security and best practices Familiarity with DevOps tools like GitHub Actions, CDK, and CI/CD frameworks Emerging experience with AI capability e.g. Github co-pilot/Gemini etc Agile delivery experience and hands-on experience of the ways of working and ceremonies Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver pragmatic solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Comfort with modern development tools (VS Code, IntelliJ, Jira, Confluence) If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
