THE ROLE & THE TEAM

Join Zalando’s Brand Media team as a (Senior) Digital Media Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping our digital media approach. Collaborate closely with a diverse team of online and offline media experts to develop, plan, and execute both market-specific and global Zalando campaigns. This role combines expertise in programmatic and paid social media, requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution.
In this role, you will deliver best-in-class digital media strategies across multiple markets, implementing innovative approaches and working closely with our partners to leverage the latest industry insights.
Work closely with marketing, analytics, and creative teams to deliver optimal digital media planning, audience targeting, bidding strategies, and measurement. You will also focus on optimising operational efficiency, driving automation, and increasing transparency for broader stakeholders. In this role, you will report directly to the Team Lead Digital Media.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Develop and execute digital media strategies across programmatic and paid social channels.
  • Leveraging industry-leading tools like WARC, GWI, and TGI to gain valuable insights and inform your approach.
  • Plan, activate, and optimize campaigns across Google DV360, TheTradeDesk, Meta, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest, Netflix, Spotify, with a strong focus on automation and efficiency at scale.
  • Utilise advanced audience segmentation, leveraging first-party data activation, lookalike audiences, and contextual targeting.
  • Collaborate with other teams to drive innovation and new ad format, ensuring engaging and effective creatives tailored to digital environments.
  • Analyse campaign performance through real-time monitoring, A/B testing, Lift Studies, and incrementality experiments, translating insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Implement ad tech solutions such as Smartly, DoubleVerify, IAS, and MOAT, ensuring seamless integration across DSPs, DCO platforms, and social media ad managers.
  • Manage privacy-compliant audience strategies, staying ahead of cookie-less targeting, AI-driven automation, and evolving social algorithms.
  • Oversee brand safety, viewability, and fraud prevention measures, ensuring high standards across all digital investments.
