What makes Gartner Research & Advisory a GREAT fit for you? When you join Gartner, you’ll be part of a team that values curiosity, expert insights, bold ideas and intellectual courage, while driving partnerships with global organizations to make the right decisions on their key initiatives. Through constant learning, discovery, innovation, and collaboration, you’ll not only help clients accomplish their mission-critical priorities, but also grow your career and the scope of your impact across industries. Our culture demands dedication— and rewards it with opportunity. If you’re always looking for what’s next in business and technology, Gartner is looking for you.
As a Gartner Analyst you will create and advise on a portfolio of Gartner research, communicate it to clients and support sales in new sales and client retention. Your research portfolio will provide insight, predictions and actionable advice to clients in the roles of Chief Data and Analytics Officers, Data & Analytics Leaders, and leaders of D&A Governance. In addition, you will understand adjacent research areas and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Drive client demand for Gartner’s research through your thought leadership. Cover the specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas, while maintaining a view across a broad spectrum of the market, to produce innovative, thought-leading, impactful, fact-based research. Areas this role may need to address include: leadership of D&A, how to deliver high quality D&A products, projects and programs, how to identify and measure high value data and analytic use cases within an organization, and other emerging topics.
  • Utilize applicable experience in related industry discipline and deep knowledge of a particular market, industry or role; deep understanding of both technology and industry to include the market, vendors, products and user strategies in specific areas.
  • Create and deliver high value presentations and other materials. Presentation types may include webinars, in person client meetings, and large stage presentations, and workshops at conferences.
  • Answer client questions through 350-500 client interactions each year (e.g. Inquiry calls, Document reviews, etc.)
  • Apply critical thinking skills to de-construct and frame challenging client questions.
  • Assist the Sales organization in selling and retention on topics covered by your team.
  • Be able to dive into research and analysis of complex datasets to identify problems and develop strategies that help clients solve problems and improve their company’s performance.
  • Provide high quality and timely research peer review.
  • After some time in your role, provide mentorship and support team members.
  • Actively participate in or lead research community meetings to discuss research issues and collaborate effectively with peers.
