Job Description
The Senior Director of Analytics & Business Intelligence (BI) is a strategic leader responsible for the vision, evolution, and execution of Business Intelligence initiatives at Beyond, Inc. This role provides thought leadership, domain expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the Analytics and BI infrastructure supports enterprise-wide decision-making, drives initiatives to achieve company goals and is fluent in identifying efficiencies and using emerging technology to be agile and reduce cycle times. The Sr Director will drive the development and delivery of scalable reporting, data solutions, oversee BI tools, and lead a high-performing team to support business units across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction of analytics and business intelligence to support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with executive and departmental leaders to identify reporting needs, prioritize initiatives, and drive high-impact analytics solutions.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytics across departments including Pricing, Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Care, Finance, and Logistics.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of critical business reporting, including product margin performance, marketing attribution, partner and vendor performance, financial close processes, inventory and logistics data, and legal/compliance-related data requests.
  • Promote BI adoption by acting as an advocate for the value of data across the company.
  • Drive cross-functional data governance and ensure consistent data standards, architecture, and definitions are applied.
  • Provide architectural oversight on data and reporting systems, especially for projects spanning multiple business units.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with a focus on continuous learning and growth.
  • Establish and track project delivery metrics such as estimates, SLAs, completion rates, and burndown velocity.
  • Manage annual budgeting for Analytics and BI resources (CapEx and G&A), staffing plans, and vendor engagement.
  • Ensure legal, audit, and compliance standards are met for all reporting and data access.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data sources, report logic, and business processes.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience managing Analytics teams and data initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of business intelligence concepts including:
  • ETL, data warehousing, dashboards, real-time reporting, data architecture, and analytics.
  • Security filtering by role, audience targeting, and metadata management.
  • Proven track record of integrating reporting into business processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and innovation opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with Beyond, Inc. data and systems is preferred.
