POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Brand Marketing is directly responsible for overseeing the organization in design, development, promoting and maintaining AFSP’s brand marketing resources and materials.. Contributes to strategic decision-making for and implementation of the organization’s public campaigns, programming and special projects with an eye on broad adoption by our staff and chapter network. Develops and builds upon existing relationships with third-party marketing and design vendors (partners).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Bachelor’s Degree
Experience and/or Training 8–10 years of experience in marketing communications, including technical development, campaign development and implementation, and graphic design.
Licenses/Certificates N/A
Technology A working knowledge of all Adobe Suite products or equivalent programs. Knowledge of Microsoft product suite or equivalent. Familiarity with at least one email service provider. Proficiency with at least one content management system and corresponding database. An understanding of print requirements, limitations, and best practices for print material design and production. An understanding of accessibility best practices and design fundamentals. Fundamental understanding of branding concepts and requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Master’s Degree, preferably in the fields of communications, marketing, or design
Experience and/or Training 10+ years of experience in digital communications, including technical development, campaign development and implementation, and graphic design. 5+ years of experience in a managerial or supervising role.
Licenses/Certificates N/A
Technology/Equipment Proficiency in all Adobe Suite products or equivalent programs. Expertise in working with at least one email service provider and familiarity with alternate products in the same space.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the overall marketing planning and production, project management and marketing flow, design creation, planning, production and review cycle with internal and external departments to final presentation and promotional plans.
  • Identifies key areas for improving marketing communications reach and effectiveness among department areas and Chapter staff at the community level
  • Delegates tasks to supervised staff and external partners while ensuring equitable and appropriate workloads
  • Oversees the Associate Director, Brand Marketing and the Marketing Manager roles
  • Oversees the distribution of mass email campaigns, including organization statements, news e-blasts and monthly newsletters
  • Collaborates with other internal departments to determine key focus areas for marketing communications development, plan, strategy from inception to campaign delivery
  • Oversees the operations of internal and external digital marketing storefronts, including sourcing and stock maintenance

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Ensure that employees are aware of, read and understand agency and department policies.
