This role partners closely with luxury retail, fashion, hospitality, beauty, and lifestyle brands to develop sophisticated, brand-aligned partnerships that deliver measurable value. The Executive Director owns the full sales lifecycle and is accountable for building a robust book of business while contributing meaningfully to the commercial success of each magazine issue. Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach, refined relationship-building skills, and the ability to position Preferred Travel Group, and it’s brands, as a strategic brand partner within the luxury marketplace. The Executive Director, Brand Partnerships, is responsible for achieving established revenue targets for each quarterly issue. A minimum of 20 sold placements per sales season is required, or alternatively, $160,000 in equivalent revenue generated through approved supplemental media extensions. Qualified revenue includes placements secured from luxury retail brands, tourism industry partners, and hotel partners. Alliance partnerships and pre-negotiated contractual obligation placements are excluded from credited sales totals. ________________________________________ Organizational Relationship The Executive Director, Brand Partnerships will report to the Vice President, Operations – Brand Creative and, as a part of the Brand Creative strategy team, will work closely with the Chief Creative Officer to conceive and implement sales strategies that support corporate, department, and individual goals. ________________________________________ Duties & Responsibilities * Lead revenue growth initiatives across a portfolio of media and brand engagement channels, delivering best-in-class commercial outcomes. * Architect and secure strategic, multi-platform brand collaborations that align with the objectives of high-end consumer brands across retail, fashion, beauty, hospitality, and lifestyle sectors. * Establish and expand a diversified, high-value client portfolio through consistent outreach, thoughtful relationship development, and repeat partnership cultivation. * Maintain full accountability for business development efforts, including opportunity identification, proposal strategy, contract execution, invoicing, and ongoing partner management. * Plan and manage seasonal revenue activity to ensure steady momentum, balanced pacing, and achievement of quarterly commercial targets. * Partner closely with internal editorial, creative, and leadership stakeholders to align commercial initiatives with brand standards, content strategy, and production timelines. * Identify emerging market opportunities to drive incremental growth and long-term commercial sustainability. * Monitor performance metrics and sales forecasts, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize outcomes and exceed expectations. ________________________________________ Qualifications * Proven senior-level sales leadership experience within luxury media, brand partnerships, advertising, or integrated marketing environments. * Demonstrated success building and closing high-value partnerships with luxury retail, fashion, beauty, hospitality, or lifestyle brands. * Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate brand objectives into compelling, multi-platform partnership solutions. * Deep understanding of premium media ecosystems, including print, digital, and custom/supplemental extensions. * Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills, with executive-level presence and confidence. * Highly disciplined approach to pipeline management, forecasting, and revenue pacing across multiple sales cycles. * Results-driven mindset with a clear track record of meeting or exceeding revenue benchmarks and performance goals. * Strategic thinker who can balance short-term sales execution with long-term brand and partnership development. * Collaborative, self-directed, and comfortable operating with accountability at an executive level. * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred. * Hospitality experience preferred ________________________________________ Working Conditions This role is based out of Preferred Travel Group’s Newport Beach, CA or New York City, NY office, with a hybrid structure that supports in-person collaboration and flexible remote work.
