Job Responsibilities Core Responsibilities Accountable for incident, problem, and change management outcomes, ensuring high-quality execution, clear ownership, and measurable improvements in service reliability. Own service reliability outcomes using SRE-aligned practices (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, reliability reviews), partnering with engineering teams to reduce recurring issues and operational toil. Own FinOps execution, including cost controls, savings realization, unit-cost transparency, and executive reporting (budgets, forecasts, anomalies, and showback/chargeback where applicable). Govern MSP performance, SLAs, and delivery quality, including operational scorecards, service reviews, escalation paths, and remediation plans. Drive the transition from manual runbooks to platform-led automation, standardizing workflows and enabling self-service operations via tooling and policy-based controls. Ensure operations remain predictable, scalable, and audit ready through standardized processes, documentation, access controls, and compliance-ready evidence. Define and manage operational KPIs (availability, incident metrics, change success rate, MTTR, cost efficiency), ensuring consistent reporting and accountability across teams and vendors. Lead cross-functional operating rhythms (weekly reliability/cost reviews, quarterly service planning) to balance execution rigor with transformation goals. Additional Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience); advanced degree preferred. Leadership experience running large-scale cloud or hybrid operations, including accountable ownership of reliability and operational outcomes. Strong ITSM background (incident/problem/change) with SRE-aligned operations practices and a proven record of improving availability, MTTR, and change success rate. Demonstrated ownership of cost, reliability, and operational KPIs, including executive-ready reporting and continuous improvement mechanisms. FinOps execution experience: cost allocation and controls, optimization/savings programs, forecasting, and variance management. Strong vendor/MSP governance experience, including SLA management, service delivery oversight, operational scorecards, and escalation/remediation leadership. Proven ability to drive automation and operational transformation (reducing toil, modernizing runbooks, and enabling platform-led self-service) while maintaining execution rigor.
