Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company (’Versant’) comprised of most of NBCUniversal’s cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
Reporting to the VP, Content Strategy, this leader will join a new team responsible for developing MSNBC’s direct-to-consumer products. We’re looking for a proactive, versatile Business Operations leader who has experience launching new consumer-facing products and strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can architect and lead a lean, versatile and innovative team. Their primary aim will be to implement the strategic vision of MSNBC’s subscription business. They will build and champion the operations function for MSNBC’s direct to consumer businesses, ensuring the successful functioning of the subscriber growth engine and the timely launches of new content and product initiatives. This leader will collaborate with a diverse set of internal stakeholders at MSNBC and VERSANT, including marketing, business development, product, finance, and Corporate operations and technology.
