JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Director of Engineering Services provides strategic and operational leadership to the Engineering team. Major areas of responsibility are maintaining and enforcing the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) standards for the enterprise, managing the infrastructure Disaster and Remediation process, oversee MEP Research and Development including but not limited to piloting new technology and identifying new partner vendors, manage FacilitiGroups’s responsibilities in the Acquisition and Divesture process, manage the development, implementation and maintenance of Building Automation Systems and utility Metering , manage development and execution of all Environmental Performance initiatives from an engineering perspective and function as the subject matter expert for all engineering related questions for the enterprise.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering required
  • 15 + years in Engineering and Healthcare design
  • Professional Engineer, CHFM preferred

Responsibilities
  • Leading a team of Engineering experts to manage Engineering needs for all business lines across the enterprise
  • Maintain the MEP guidelines, conduct product evaluation, review MEP consultant’s performance
  • Provide engineering support for FacilitiGroup’s Capital Reinvestment program ($450 million annual budget) and ensure project designs meet the needs of the enterprise and are constructed in accordance with the MEP guidelines
  • Leading a team of Automation Engineers to manage all Building Technology platforms including Building Automations Systems, Utility metering platforms and other IOT platforms
  • Manage FacilitiGroup’s disaster response efforts related to all physical infrastructure across the enterprise
  • Manage the development, implementation and operation of environmental performance initiatives including identifying opportunities, executing pilot projects, evaluating opportunity for enterprise-wide implementation, creating enterprise-wide implementation plans, execution enterprise-wide implementation and subsequent measurement and verification
  • Monitor energy consumption across the enterprise ($400 million + annually), identify efficiency gain opportunities and develop corrective plans of action when needed
  • Manage drawing review and commissioning for facility infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with other departments including but not limited to Design and Construction, Supply Chain, Real Estate, Corporate Development, CAMS, Pharmacy, ASD, Behavioral Health, and Risk and insurance to assist in managing physical infrastructure
  • Manage FacilitiGroup’s involvement in the Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestiture process
  • Develop and execute developmental programs for technical roles throughout the organization
  • Develop long term strategies for all key responsibilities
  • Provide day to day leadership to all team members
  • Collaborate with the Capital team to evaluate consultant and vendor performance
  • Helping drive energy savings, meeting Environment Performance goals, and eliminating risks within HCA
  • Communicating and assisting other departments with needs within HCA
  • Other duties as assigned
