SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for leading and directing the day-to-day operations of the system Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to achieve organizational objectives through effective portfolio and project management in alignment with the strategic imperatives of the organization. The position leads project portfolio management, integration management activities, strategy execution along with mission critical projects tied to the system pillars. In addition, this position serves as the organizational subject matter expert on project management tools, processes, execution structure and systems in accordance to industry standards recommended by the Project Management Institute.

Responsibilities

Operations: -Drives the strategy and implementation of project portfolio management.-Responsible for leading and directing the efforts of a high-performing project management team.-Manages the day-to-day operations and budget of the EPMO.-Manages and analyzes holistic resource requirements, forecasting and planning to ensure internal and enterprise programs and projects run efficiently.-Recalibrates project portfolio on an ongoing basis to align with system priorities.-Contributes to the continuous development of standards, frameworks and playbooks related to the EPMO to ensure alignment with industry trends.-Performs ongoing analysis of current state processes within the EPMO; recommends and implements policies, processes, measures and reporting to continually enhance the value-add.Portfolio, Program, Project Management:-Meets with executive staff to keep them apprised of the various projects across the organization.-Leads strategy implementation, integration (merger and acquisition) and mission critical programs and projects to ensure alignment with various lines of business.-Serves as a guide to establish roadmaps, define and document processes, create frameworks and templates, design critical paths to success, and facilitate risk mitigation strategies.-Responsible for overseeing “big strategy” execution initiatives.-Develops and enhances governance, executive level report-outs to improve content and level of impact to C suite leadership to help guide tactical discussions and future strategic decisions.-Assists with report preparation for executive staff meetings and board meetings.Leadership:-Serves as a coach and mentor to develop staff, including hiring, overseeing new employee onboarding, succession planning and providing career development planning and opportunities.-Fosters a spirt of collaboration, teamwork, innovation and servant leadership to create a culture that is consistent with the overall organizational mission, vision and values.-Works with C suite executives to design communications and change management plans to compliment respective program and project goals and objectives.-Serves as a project structure architect to executive leadership in defining project approach and providing strategic direction and guidance.-Manages executive leadership relationships, progress updates and decision-making escalations.
