JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for a Senior Director, Foodbuy Sr. Domain Architect to lead the design and development of software applications. As a Senior Director, Pl Sr. Domain Architect you will serve as the foremost technical authority and visionary leader within the Foodbuy organization, responsible for defining and executing architectural strategies that align with business objectives. Your role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, from conceptualizing high-level architectural designs to providing guidance on implementation and ensuring adherence to best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
In this role you will report directly to the Principal Architect for Compass Group and will have a strong voice in the future of the business platforms. Leader must have the ability to coach, develop, and lead a small team of application architects.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with a specialization in software engineering, application development, or similar.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an application architect, preferably in a related industry.
• Highly proficient in SQL, Microsoft.NET and Azure Dev Ops.
• Highly proficient with Amazon Web Service (AWS), Solution Architect certification a plus.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Balances the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals. Estimates the budgetary impact of alternatives and applies multiple solutions to business problems.
• Rapidly comprehends the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
• Ready to think, behave and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the organization.
• Experience valuating, assessing risk and integrating business acquisitions and related platforms.
• Procurement systems and lifecycle
• AWS Cloud and Microsoft development cycle; ADO, CICD Pipeline management
• Experience leading large-scale business and technology transformation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ownership and development of technical target architectures.
• Collaborating with leadership team to determine business-specific application needs.
• Compiling and implementing application design plans for new or existing applications.
• Oversight of the application development effort to include design, testing and implementation.
• Integrating technology trends in application architecture.
• Reviews emerging technologies and the business ecosystem for major disruptive technology.
• Provides practical advice and best practices to take advantage of new, or emerging, opportunities and successfully deliver the expected business outcomes.
