Located in Global HQ in Akron, Ohio. Reporting directly to the Vice President & Treasurer, the Senior Director, Global Capital Markets is responsible for global financing activities, bank and rating agency relations, and benefit plan asset management. Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: •Review/Analyze global operating plans, forecasts and other sources of financial data to determine company funding requirements. Ensure adequate/optimal liquidity and capital to meet near and long-term worldwide business needs including working capital management programs. Ensure the company has clear financing plans for all international operations, including identifying appropriate capital market, working capital, and credit activities to optimize cost of capital around the world. • Support maintaining relationships with financial institutions and credit rating agencies; helping inform them about Goodyear in order to maximize these relationships and act as primary point of contact. Internally track bank relationship status and metrics to inform business allocation and fee strategy. Leverage external partners and other data points (e.g., benchmarking) to identify market trends that help the company better meet funding objectives. • Provide strategic and fiduciary oversight for global pension and benefit plans. Ensure plans are managed in a way consistent with Goodyear’s risk/return objectives and in compliance with directives of Goodyear’s investment policy committee. Understand performance of asset managers and overall plans, participate in decisions regarding asset allocation, manager replacements and funding plans. • Oversee corporate capital market transactions and work in collaboration with regions reviewing terms/ structure of local funding transactions. Support negotiations and structuring of transactions to and provide subject matter expertise in other Corporate Finance areas (e.g., compliance, WACC, lease v buy, etc.) to ensure terms and conditions are consistent with corporate objectives. • Develop talent for the Goodyear Treasury organization, including development of professionals within the team, and succession planning for Treasury roles. Execute a strong performance management process for your team that aligns individual objectives with business metrics and connects performance against objectives to compensation and career progression. KEY EXPERIENCE • Minimum of 10 years of progressive Finance and Treasury assignments, with at least 3-5 years in director level or above role(s). • International experience is highly desirable. • 2-5 years’ experience in negotiating and executing capital markets and bank financing transaction; including working knowledge of financing agreements and strong understanding of loan terms and covenants. • Track record of achieving measurable business objectives. • Bachelor Degree, advanced degree preferred.
