Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The HR Transformation & Transactions Services (HRTS) group provides advisory services to private equity and corporate clients for all people and human capital related issues throughout the deal lifecycle. We combine deep technical expertise in the HR, compensation and benefits space to help our clients make informed decisions, focusing on organizational and HR issues that materially impact enterprise valuation and mitigate risk.

Our client engagements primarily fall into the four categories:

  • HR Due Diligence (pre-sign): focused on the financial aspects of the HR function, compensation and benefits
  • Merger Integrations (post-sign): focused on identifying synergies within the HR functions, compensation and benefits programs and execution planning
  • Carve-Outs (post-sign): focused on standing up a new HR function, including payroll / HCM, compensation and benefits programs
  • Performance Improvement (non-M&A): focused on value creation opportunities across the G&A platform, including enterprise-wide organizational design, hire-to-retire process improvement, HR technology improvement, and cost savings opportunities related to compensation and benefits programs

We are currently seeking a Senior Director for our HRTS group within our Business Transformation & Transactions practice. For this specific role, we are seeking a candidate who will primarily focus on Merger Integrations, Carve-Outs and Performance Improvement engagements. However, the individual will also have the opportunity to work on HR due diligence engagements, particularly where it is expected there may be a follow on (e.g., post-sign integration or carve-out) opportunity.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work with FTI’s Transactions teams on carve-out and integration engagements, focusing on the establishment and/or merging of HR functions, compensation and benefits platforms, providing PMO oversight across the various key HR workstreams, including Day 1 readiness, SPA & TSAs, employee transition & offer letters, HR target operating model, retention, severance/RIFs, payroll / HCM, compensation and benefit plans, and employee communications
  • Business Development responsibilities, including sourcing new engagements via existing FTI client-base, or external sources (prior clients and new client prospects)
  • Work alongside FTI’s Business Transformation teams on performance improvement projects
  • Conduct current state assessments on the HR department, compensation and benefits programs to identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities
  • Lead and manage the engagement process from start to finish, including setting scopes, budgets, staffing resources, creation and coordination of client-ready deliverables with FTI’s engagement teams, and direct communication of results with clients
  • Oversee and drive development of staff, including being mentor and coach to junior team members
