EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in public policy, healthcare policy, or government affairs, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sector.
  • Proven policy expertise across multiple META countries.
  • Familiarity with India’s policy environment (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and advocate for policy positions that reflect both business and public health priorities.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and influencing skills with a track record of working across complex stakeholder ecosystems.

EDUCATION:

  • Advanced degree in public policy, law, health economics, international relations, pharmaceutical sciences, or related disciplines.
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Director, Public Policy – META & India will lead Lilly’s public policy strategy across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META), with additional support for India. This role is responsible for aligning and drafting Lilly’s policy positions, contributing to shaping the external policy environment in high-priority markets to enable access, defend innovation, and drive sustainable growth. Connect and partner with Multilateral Organization’s (WHO, WTO, etc), Think Tanks, Academia to serve affiliate’s needs. Provide strategic guidance and coordinate the “localization” of global policy projects
