Description Description: Under the supervision of the AED, the Senior Director of Early Childhood Programs is responsible for supporting he smooth operation and oversight of all early childhood programs (Dutchess County and the Bronx). Responsibilities: · Supervises Assistant Education Coordinators, Education Coach and Infant Support Specialist, serving as the Education Leader for ECP, providing expertise, training and support. · Supports LRS in implementation of curriculum and coordination of child outcomes reporting. · Coordinates regular site visits to all ECP facilities for quality assurance. · Oversees CACFP including implementation, reporting, policies, procedures, and training. · Responsible for submission of PIR · Acts as backup to the AED for Policy Council, Program Leadership, Hudson Valley Leadership and Executive Cabinet, if requested. · Supports the AED in grant writing for Head Start, UPK and other collaboration projects. · Participates as a member of the agency’s CQI team · Participates in monthly Education QA meetings · Participates in monthly Head Start Leadership meetings · Participates in the self-assessment process · Participates in other assignments deemed necessary for the successful operation of the Early Childhood Programs What we provide: · 4 weeks paid vacation annually. · 13 paid holidays. · 4 personal days. · 1 sick day per month, accruable to 150 days. · Fully paid individual LTD and life insurance. · Eligible for participation in agency medical and dental plan both individual and family, with small employee contribution. · New longevity incentives. · Opportunities to make a difference in the lives of children and families in need. · Collaboration with a team of dedicated professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment. · Room for growth and advancement within the organization. Requirements Requirements: · Master’s degree in early childhood education or related field. NYS Teacher Certification · 10+ years working in leadership position in an Early Childhood setting · Experience supervising an Education Service Team · Able to lead teams, establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with program staff and organize tasks to complete projects on time and within a budget. · Strong written and verbal communication, leadership and management skills
