Come join us! Available Locations: Bangalore, India About the role We are seeking a Senior Engineering Director to lead a team of engineers within our Cloudflare One engineering group. This role will have a strong focus on delivering our Cloudflare One Detections, Security Intelligence and Risk Scoring. As a senior leader based in Bengaluru, India, this role will also provide mentorship and guidance to other engineering teams, contributing to company-wide technical practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, proven leadership experience, and a passion for developing people and cultivating a strong engineering culture. Experience managing complex projects with external dependencies Results and metrics driven A strong attention to detail Great communication skills Experience hiring great engineers A kind and generous attitude towards customers and coworkers alike Ability to set technical direction and own decisions Responsibilities Lead multiple teams of engineers delivering customer facing products in our Cloudflare One suite. Partner with Product Management to define and execute a strategy and achieve audacious goals. Lead and mentor engineering managers and engineers across the Bengaluru office. Work with peers around the world to drive cross organizational projects and develop best practices. Foster a culture that is results oriented without sacrificing curiosity, kindness, and empathy for customers and co-workers alike. Define metrics that guide the engineering teams. Drive continuous improvement in your teams Lead engineering recruiting efforts in Bengaluru Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: Hiring & Recruiting Excellence – Proven ability to attract, assess, and hire top talent. Security Detection Expertise (Preferred) – Experience building, operating, or improving security detection systems. Deep Technical Expertise – Demonstrates depth in at least one core technical domain. High Ownership & Execution Focus – Shows strong agency with a bias toward action and delivery.
