Job Description The Opportunity: Mattel is embarking on a multi-year, fast-paced ERP transformation across all areas and is searching for a technology leader with an immense passion for delivering business value in the form of process simplification and modernization enabled by technology, data, and program management. The Senior Director of ERP Transformation is a key technology partner to Mattel’s business leadership - SVPs and VPs of Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, Marketing. This role will lead innovation, project management, systems development and implementation, and support of all technology that enables these areas. This leader will have excellent domain experience in these areas, as well as a proven success record of delivering business value and organizational transformation in a matrixed IT environment with reliance on offshore delivery partners and global teams. They will bring a wealth of experience in developing and delivering modern technology solutions, excellent vendor management skill, and have a proven track record of modernizing and transforming technology capabilities aligned to business process transformation. Experience with multiple ERP implementations is a huge plus. This position will report directly to Mattel’s Global Supply Chain Technology VP and will be a key member of the Global Technology Organization’s leadership team. This leader is a key contributor to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy, while maintaining its alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success. What Your Impact Will Be: • Lead the Global Technology Organization (GTO) team that is responsible for delivering technology solutions for ERP rollout using in-house and outsourced global teams and operations. This team encompasses Portfolio Owners, Product Owners, Business Analysts and System Analysts that have both functional and technical knowledge in the area of all ERP functions (Supply Chain ERP experience is mandatory). • Work with the CTO, Senior IT Leadership team, Enterprise Architecture and Global Supply Chain (GSC) Leadership Team to develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for GSC that supports business strategies and priorities for all ERP functions. • Act as a trusted advisor while building and maintaining relationships with business executives to develop a clear understanding of business needs; innovate on and identify opportunities and educate the business where modern technology solutions can add value or achieve stated goals. • Work with our PMO to develop and oversee the annual operating plan - accountable for budgets covering OPEX and CAPEX. • Ensure that all Project/Delivery Managers working on your portfolios have the correct resources to deliver their plans and that escalations on resources are supported/facilitated. • Provide functional and technical leadership and hands-on, day-to-day support to agile teams in implementation of solutions. • Ensure that all the Business Analysts and Scrum Masters are sufficiently trained and working toward the goals of the Mattel brands. • Manage and grow the IT Business Analyst and Scrum Master teams and ensure all follow the industry best practices. • Lead the design and selection of solutions based on functional, technical, and budgetary considerations in order to best fulfill competing business needs. • Participate in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities required to achieve desired competitive positioning. • Accountable for managing the technical delivery of Global Supply Chain solutions including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and Tier 3 production support which is heavy reliant on outsourced delivery partners. • Responsible for being the overall authority on development and delivery of Global Supply Chain platforms. • Build an effective organization that can deliver, support and exploit transition to best-in suite-technologies for Global Supply Chain capabilities. • Effectively build strategic partnerships with Mattel sourcing suppliers to execute with excellence on technical solutions and leverage the partnerships to drive innovation and bring thought leadership to Mattel. • Ensure the relationship between IT and Business teams is open, trusted and effective in understanding all perspectives and how best to work collaboratively. Qualifications What We’re Looking For: • Experience: 15+ years of IT and technology experience including a minimum of 8 years of IT leadership and strong people management experience in areas of responsibility and in similar roles (broad-based, senior level) within a comparably sized company. • Experience in deploying multiple ERP implementations (Oracle fusion preferred, SAP, etc.). • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Finance, or Supply Chain or related areas plus related experience, and or Masters degree/MBA plus related experience. • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and organization design and development. • Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments. • Excellent leadership skills - lead, collaborate, facilitate, and negotiate as necessary. • Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines at senior levels to influence, instill confidence and effect change to achieve common goals and demonstrate the business value of IT. • Experience with ERP (Oracle) and supply chain systems • Experience with Data platform and analytical tools especially within Google Cloud Platform is preferred. • Experience with business analysis, solution design, development, testing, and implementation best practices. • Proven experience in DTC and B2B. • Proven experience in Retail and/or CPG. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results. • Ability to actively participate in new technologies/innovations and demonstrate benefits to users. • Global knowledge of Global Supply Chain concepts and best practices preferred in order to effectively lead complex programs and influence the business. • Ability to abstract complex business and technical concepts and summarize them for various stakeholder groups, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders as well as business concepts to technologists; the ability to sell ideas and process internally at all levels. • Acumen for IT budgeting and financial management for a department • Strong vendor management and partner relations skills to identify and leverage resources internally and externally to the enterprise to enhance capabilities that support business objectives. • Ability to work well with all levels of the organization. • Ability to make decisions and recommendations on complex issues and present to Senior Management. • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change, both within your teams and as a trusted advisor to business partners during transformative systems change. • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic people plan that ensures that the right people are in the right roles at the right time and that employees are highly engaged and satisfied. • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. • Good time management and organizational skills - ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments concurrently. The annual base salary range for this position is between $220,000 and $270,000. **This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
