JOB OVERVIEW

Smack Pet Food Inc. is a manufacturer of raw dehydrated food for dogs and cats. We are a family-owned business located in Winnipeg, MB. Celebrating our 18th year in business, we market and sell our products to retailers (B2B) and consumers (DTC).
We are seeking an experienced Growth Marketing leader to support our continued rapid growth across Canada and the US. You’re a fit for this role if you have a proven track record of leading a team through big increases in ad spend, you’re a trusted mentor, and you are skilled in using data to uncover opportunities and optimize metrics like customer acquisition, conversion rate, and repeat-purchase rate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-10 years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on paid channels and e-commerce
  • Previous experience scaling ad spend while maintaining an acceptable CAC is a must, with experience managing monthly ad budgets that exceed $100k
  • 5+ years of experience in leading growth or performance marketing teams
  • Proven ability to translate KPI targets into strategic plans
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to uncover and prioritize opportunities for funnel optimization
  • Experience managing influencer and affiliate partnerships and campaigns
  • Experience with a variety of Martech and analytics tools

Responsibilities
  • Own and scale our DTC customer acquisition through a combination of paid, organic, and affiliate channels
  • Oversee all paid acquisition efforts and be accountable for acquisition, revenue and efficiency-related metrics
  • Analyze data to uncover opportunities to increase acquisition and repeat purchases
  • Lead and build out our existing growth marketing and operations team
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to the team
  • Collaborate with content marketing to develop and optimize multi-channel and segmented marketing campaigns
  • Report on acquisition, revenue, and efficiency metrics
  • Continuously drive down CAC
  • Work with senior leadership to build out strategic plans to hit quarterly goals for revenue, acquisition, and repeat purchases
