POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Director of Human Resources serves as a key strategic leader focused on growth, operational excellence, and value creation. Reporting directly to the CHRO, this role partners with executive and operational leadership to build scalable people strategies that support rapid expansion, integration, and performance optimization. This leader oversees the HR Business Partner (HRBP), HR Generalist, and People Operations Specialist functions and ensures HR infrastructure, talent strategy, and employee experience initiatives align with aggressive growth objectives, including acquisitions and multi-site healthcare operations. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, performance-driven healthcare environments and brings strong experience in workforce planning, employee relations, M&A integration, and HR systems optimization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Strategic HR Leadership in a PE Environment Partner with the CHRO to execute HR strategies aligned with value creation goals and enterprise growth plans. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and operational stakeholders across clinical and corporate functions. Lead and develop the HRBP, HR Generalist, and People Operations Specialist to deliver high-impact, scalable HR support. Drive organizational effectiveness initiatives that enhance productivity, accountability, and performance. Mergers & Acquisitions (Preferred Experience) Support HR due diligence activities during acquisitions, including workforce assessment, risk analysis, and cultural evaluation. Lead HR integration planning and execution for acquired entities, ensuring seamless alignment of people, processes, policies, and systems. Partner with operational leaders to stabilize workforce engagement and retention during integration phases. Talent Acquisition Oversight Provide oversight and performance management of outsourced recruiting partners. Ensure recruiting strategies meet clinical and corporate hiring demands in a competitive healthcare talent market. Align recruiting efforts with workforce planning models and site expansion timelines. Employee Experience & Culture Drive initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and cultural alignment across multi-site healthcare operations. Implement leadership development and frontline management capability programs. Promote a culture of accountability, service excellence, and patient-centered care. Employee Relations & Compliance Oversee complex employee relations matters across clinical and non-clinical populations. Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific labor and employment regulations. Mitigate risk through consistent application of policies and sound investigative practices. HRIS & Workforce Analytics Oversee HRIS data integrity, reporting, and workforce analytics. Utilize data to inform turnover trends, labor costs, productivity metrics, and succession planning. Drive system enhancements to support multi-site scalability and integration of acquired entities. Talent Planning & Organizational Development Lead workforce planning and succession strategies aligned with growth and expansion. Support leadership in organizational design for new sites, service lines, or acquisitions. Identify and develop high-potential leaders within clinical and operational teams. Policy & Process Standardization Standardize HR policies and procedures across locations to drive consistency and compliance. Enhance operational rigor through streamlined processes and clear governance. Special Projects Lead enterprise-level HR initiatives as assigned by the CHRO, particularly those tied to integration, performance improvement, or growth acceleration. All other duties as assigned. Requirements REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred). Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within healthcare or multi-site environments. Experience in Private Equity–backed organizations strongly preferred. Demonstrated M&A due diligence and integration experience preferred. Strong background in employee relations, compliance, and workforce risk mitigation. Experience overseeing outsourced recruiting providers in high-demand labor markets. Proficiency in HRIS systems and workforce analytics; ability to translate data into actionable insights. Demonstrated ability to operate in high-growth, performance-driven environments.
