Description

The Senior Director supports the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in managing the overall operations of the Information Technology Department. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and overseeing both administrative and technical functions, while also leading key departmental initiatives. The incumbent plays a critical role in strategic planning, goal development, and implementation of departmental objectives. In collaboration with the CIO, the Senior Director helps formulate and implement policies, procedures, and standards. The position provides high-level technical guidance to department leadership to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Responsibilities include oversight of departmental budgets, resource allocation, program operations, and personnel to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the role involves fostering strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders and external organizations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline is required. Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in an information technology enterprise environment with at least three (3) years in a supervisory/management capacity is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Information Security Manager (CISM) certification; Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification, or/and Cisco Certified Network Professional certification is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrated leadership in problem solving, change management, process improvement and strategic planning. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel extensively and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
