Transforming Elderly Care Through Technology
Center for Elders’ Independence (CEI) is a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization that uses an interdisciplinary team approach to deliver high-quality, affordable, and integrated health care services to the elderly. Our mission promotes participant autonomy, quality of life, and the ability for individuals to live independently in their communities. As we position ourselves for future growth and enhanced service delivery, we are seeking a visionary Senior Director of Innovation and AI to lead our technological transformation and drive organizational excellence through innovative solutions.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Director of Innovation and AI will be a senior-level leader responsible for spearheading CEI’s technology innovation strategy with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence solutions across the entire organization. This role combines enterprise-wide strategic vision with senior implementation capabilities to revolutionize how we deliver care to our participants. Reporting directly to the CIO, this senior leadership position will have line responsibility for the Applications team while driving organization-wide innovation initiatives and serving as a key member of the technology leadership team. The successful candidate will create a scalable set of integrated technology solutions that position CEI for sustainable growth and enhanced service delivery within the PACE model, while establishing our organization as an industry leader in elderly care innovation.
The salary range for the Senior Director of Innovation and AI position at Center for Elders Independence is $175,298 - $280,477. Annual salary is based on the market for the Senior Director of Innovation and AI position, as well as experience, skills, abilities and work history.
Enterprise Innovation Leadership
The Senior Director of Innovation and AI will develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise innovation roadmap that aligns with CEI’s mission and strategic business objectives. This executive will establish and lead a center of competence for innovation that identifies, evaluates, and implements emerging technologies that can transform our service delivery model and operational efficiency. They will collaborate with C-suite and senior leadership team members to create and promote a culture of innovation throughout the organization.
In this capacity, the Senior Director will establish organizational guiding principles for innovation initiatives, ensuring alignment with CEI’s strategic objectives and the unique needs of our PACE participants. They will develop appropriate metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of innovation processes, while continuously updating our innovation methodologies to stay ahead of industry trends. The Senior Director will represent CEI at industry conferences and forums, establishing our organization as a thought leader in healthcare innovation.
This role demands an executive who can translate technological capabilities into significant business value and competitive advantage, demonstrating measurable improvements in participant care, cost savings, operational efficiency, and caregiver engagement. By conducting strategic planning sessions with executive stakeholders across the organization, the Senior Director will generate forward-looking insights that shape our organizational direction and growth strategy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred
  • 15+ years of technology leadership experience with at least 7-10 years in senior or executive-level positions
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading enterprise-wide innovation initiatives and technology transformation projects
  • Advanced knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics applications in healthcare settings
  • Extensive experience managing application deployment organizations and complex software implementation programs
  • Proven track record of translating technological innovations into measurable business value and competitive advantage
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare technology systems, preferably in long-term care or senior services environments
  • Executive-level experience with change management, organizational development, and technology adoption strategies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in PACE programs or similar integrated care models for the elderly
  • Deep knowledge of CMS requirements, healthcare compliance regulations, and industry standards
  • Successful track record implementing AI solutions in healthcare settings at an enterprise scale
  • Experience leading digital transformation in complex healthcare organizations with multiple service lines
  • Strategic understanding of elderly care workflows, challenges, and future industry direction
  • Prior success in creating and managing innovation programs, incubators, or centers of excellence
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, modern application architectures, and enterprise integration approaches
  • History of publishing, speaking, or other thought leadership activities in healthcare innovation
