We are seeking an accomplished and hands-on marketing leader to serve as Senior Director of Marketing, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a growing $1.5B business — including leading a full-scale rebrand, evolving the company’s go-to-market strategy, and modernizing its marketing capability. The successful candidate will bring deep field marketing experience, construction industry fluency, and a data-first mindset that drives informed decision-making and measurable outcomes. This role blends high-level strategic thinking with practical execution across a large, distributed branch network.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 15+ years of marketing experience, with 5+ in senior leadership roles
- Demonstrated success in B2B field marketing and supporting distributed sales or channel organizations
- Prior experience leading a company-wide rebrand or brand transformation
- Deep understanding of the construction, building materials, or adjacent industrial sectors
- Proven data-first mentality — skilled in marketing analytics, campaign reporting, and performance measurement
- Hands-on experience with modern marketing platforms (CRM, automation, digital campaigns), but grounded in practical, results-oriented deployment
- Strong communicator with executive presence and a collaborative leadership style
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, roll-up-your-sleeves environments
- Willingness to travel (20%+), especially in the first year, to build relationships and assess field needs firsthand
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication or relevant field
- Proven experience as a Director of Marketing or similar role
- Up to speed with current and online marketing techniques and best practices.
- Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords.
