Description General Purpose: The Senior Director of Operations provides leadership, oversight, and strategic management of operational functions across both the church and school. This role exists to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, facilities management, and campus safety while partnering with ministry and school leaders to advance the church’s mission and school’s educational objectives. The Senior Director of Operations works closely with the Executive Director of Operations and administrative staff to ensure all operational areas are efficient, safe, and aligned with organizational priorities. Essential Job Functions: Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop operations staff Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and servant leadership Ensure operations teams are trained, equipped, and aligned with church and school vision Support ministry leaders by providing operational guidance for programs and campus initiatives Facilities & Campus Management Oversee maintenance, safety, and upkeep of church and school facilities Ensure all campuses comply with safety regulations, legal requirements, and best practices Supervise custodial and facilities teams Manage facility use, scheduling, and logistics for programs and school activities Security & Safety Develop and oversee campus safety and security policies for church and school Train staff on safety protocols and emergency response procedures Coordinate security coverage for services and school programs Monitor compliance and conduct regular assessments to mitigate risks Budget & Resource Oversight Assist in developing and managing the operations budget in coordination with the Executive Director of Operations Track expenditures and ensure responsible stewardship of resources across facilities and operational functions Provide guidance on resource allocation and vendor management Requirements Spiritual & Character Qualifications A mature follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for serving the church and school Alignment with the doctrine, values, and culture of the organization Servant-hearted leadership, relational maturity, and problem-solving abilities Active participation in the life of the church Professional Qualifications 5–10 years of leadership experience in operations, facilities, or organizational management Proven ability to manage staff and operational teams effectively Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills Experience overseeing facilities, campus safety, and day-to-day operational logistics Ability to collaborate across departments and support ministry objectives What You Are Required to Know: We are an EEO employer. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) salary-exempt position. This role requires a strong presence on both church and school campuses, participation in staff meetings, and occasional on-site assessments or emergency situations.
